👀 Who we are looking for

We are looking for an outgoing, social, and highly organized intern to join our small but mighty venture capital fund.

👩‍💻 Who we are

Palumni VC is a network driven venture capital fund, investing in Palantir alumni founded companies from pre-seed to pre-IPO. We make a small number of very thoughtful investments every year, alongside our 900+ member strong syndicate.

⛏️ What you will do

We are bringing onboard an additional intern to help plan and host functions for our network, onboard new members, and draft communications with partners including startup founders, other venture capitalists, and our own limited partner investors. Yes, you will spend a lot of time on Partiful.

For interested candidates, further involvement in the investment due diligence, analysis, fund operations, and fundraising processes is available.

💃 Who you are

To be successful in this role, you must be high energy, extraordinarily polite, outcomes driven and team oriented. You thrive in a little bit of chaos, and love to move quickly (and not break things).

In your prior life, you’ve organized large events, researched and documented disparate information, and motivated large groups of people - whether as a cheerleading captain or an army captain.

There’s no such thing as “that’s not my problem” in our team - we want to give our entire network the warmest and most meaningful experience possible, and sometimes that means picking up another team member’s oversight or mistake, or double checking work from an external vendor.

Our industry contains a lot of introverts and very busy individuals, so an ability to maintain high optimism and a lot of charm when dealing with initial brusqueness is an advantage. We will teach you what you need to know about drafting investment memos or building spreadsheets, but we can’t teach you to be an self-motivated.

✍️ Other requirements

While an interest in technology or investing is helpful for growth in the role, prior experience in venture capital or startups not essential. We want people who don’t look like us, so please don’t hesitate to apply just because you don’t know a lot about finance.

Because venture capital is an apprenticeship business, this is an in-person role, although we can work around your school timetable to find a mutually agreeable schedule.

A successful candidate will be based in Miami and be very familiar with the social and logistical aspects of the city (traffic patterns, new restaurants, travel times, ball game dates, etc.). We don’t sportsball, so we would love it if you do!

This role is not paid although we can work with you to arrange for course credit or similar treatment from your academic institution.

Conversational Spanish is a benefit but not a requirement.
